Don,  Thanks.   I have found that old buildings have more interest because 
they have more color, more textures, more character.   They have distinct 
personalities.   New buildings may have interesting geometry, but they more 
often than not, are rather cold, impersonal, and interchangeable (there are 
certainly plenty of exceptions to that -- Gehry's work comes to mind). 
Interesting old buildings are plentiful across the country, although they 
are disappearing at a steady rate.   Robert
