Gene:  I too love BW400CN.  There are a couple of reasons why it doesn't 
completely replace Tri-X:

1.  Shadow detail.  Tri-X holds it deep down into the shadows.  BW400CN 
goes ugly-noisy.
2.  BW400CN is really at its best at EI 200 or 250, not 400.
3. If you even *looked* harshly at its predecessor, T400CN, the negs would 
get scratched.  I don't know if the current BW400CN has that problem--I've 
been lucky so far.
