Also can't find a way to loosen/ tighten the front element either. So I checked my other fairly current lenses. Only the 35 Summilux ASPH and the 135 APO have a slot for a spanner wrench. No other wide angle or 50mm has a slotted ring. I don't think Leica wants us amateurs messing with them.
