[Leica] M4 variants

Hi Jeffrey,

I'm not an expert but this is my understanding of the M4 series.

First M3 and M2 viewfinders

M3---50, 90, 135 bright frames
M2---35, 50, 90 bright frames
M4---35, 50, 90, 135 bright frames
Up to and including the M4 the internal gearing was made of brass  
which made the film advance very smooth and quiet
The M4 also had 1st tilted rapid rewind crank,

M4-2  Gearing changed to steel. probably to better withstand the M4-2  
motor torque.
            The viewfinder brightlines were the same as the M4

M4-P  Same as M4-2 except the viewfinder now has 28, 35, 50, 75, 90,  
and 135 brightlines. This is the same viewfinder as the M6, M6TTL ,  
M7 and MP with .72 magnification.

The M4-2 up to the current M7 and MP models accept the 4 motor drives  
and winders introduced since the M4-P.

To me these are the major points I am concerned with. There may have  
been many more changes in the models that I'm not aware of.
