Hi, everyone. I took a leave from the LUG and have frequently been
lurking, which is possibly akin to having been in Purgatory. I am now
back, this time with some pictures posted on the Leica User's Gallery.

All of these pictures were taken during a two-week vacation in Italy
this past September. I stayed in Spoleto for the whole time, visiting
friends mostly. Because of concerns with luggage I took one M6 and
one lens, a new 50 Summilux I found on Ebay. Tri-X film. Having very
simple (albeit very first-rate) equipment actually I found freeing.
No decisions about which lens to use, although many times I wished
for my 90 or for a 28 or 24.

Quite a few of these pictures were taken in extremely low light, at
or near maximum aperture at slow shutter speeds. I found F/1.4 very
difficult to use close up compared to F/2. The focus needs to be dead
on.

The most unusual, for me, part of the trip was the day that I spent
with painter and sculptor Franco Troiani and architect Emanuele de
Donno visiting three towns along the Via Flaminia. Franco has
organized events which he calls Viaggiatori sulla Flaminia (Travelers
on the Flaminia) in which modern works of art (including plays and
events) are installed in ancient sites. Half of the pictures here
were taken that day. The others were taken in Spoleto itself on other
days of my vacation.

Any feedback is very welcome.
