Me too !  The newer one looks different, but as I understand it, the optical 
formulae are the same.

A built in hood is both a good and bad thing.... and the cash it might cost 
to get it is bad.

Thanks, Frank.  I'd like to have the newer one with the built in hood but I 
bought this one for a song and can't believe that the difference in price 
would be worth it for me.
