Subject: [Leica] M8 in stock in the Netherlands

Hello,
I had the 20D, nice camera, but I got tired of lugging it around. Maybe
you bought the one I sold. I had the 35 1.4 L, great lens, makes a good
truncheon, I suppose. ;-)

I have heard this "too expensive" argument so many times with reference to
the M8. Sure, the camera isn't cheap, but I don't think the price is all
that bad for what you get. At least, I feel good about walking around with
the camera, something I could never say about all the Canon gear I have
owned.

Funny story, I was at my Leica dealer a few weeks before the M8 came out.
A guy in the store was going on about how expensive the M8 was and that you
could buy a 5D with the money. I told the guy I wouldn't carry the 5D, end
of story. Five minutes later, the guy admitted that he owned the 5D and
never carried it! A camera you don't use is too expensive, not the one you
use and enjoy.

  Regards,

  Larry
