Daniel,

Your shoebox photo of Adama Samassekou

http://www.dlridings.se/gallery/v/shoebox/2006v43/06v42-0007.jpg.html

reminds me to report that my son is back from his
Peace Corps assignment in Mali, speaking rather good
bambara, a little malinke and a little soninke
[spelling?]. He even had a bush radio program in
bambara. Unfortunately he never had a chance to look
up Malick Sibide, the winner of the Hasselblad Award,
while passing through Bamako.

Peter.
