Henning, yep, I think so too. I've pointed Walt to the default locations in 
XP.

You can't get updates for the Focomat anymore. And the anti-Newton 
glass is darn expensive when available. :-) I'm not getting rid of my 
Focomat.


As far as your scanner problem, you need to remove all preferences 
and other little files as well as un-installing or re-installing the 
main software. I know where to look for this junk on a Mac, but not a 
Windows machine. Or rather, I know all the places to start looking. 
With OSX, Macs put these little suckers all over the place as well.
