I have experienced the same.

My BMW E46 M3 is certainly better built than the average E46 3 series.  I am
off to Stuttgart in a fortnight to collect a Porsche GT3 - I shall find out
if the 'hand-built' GT3 is better built than the regular mass-produced (if
such description can be applied to Porsche) Carreras.
