Hi there--

   And, don't forget the LIFE cover of the young teenager in a black coat 
with a rifle slung over his shoulder. It was taken by Michael Rougier 
who--in my humble opinion--later photographed one of the finest essays LIFE 
ever published, on a small town in North Dakota whose little theater 
produced Wilder's "Our Town."

The Hungarian revolt was covered by Erich Lessing, a Magnum member,  
with a Leica.

Koudelka was to do a similar feat 12 years later in Czechoslovakia,  
also with a Leica.
He later became a member of Magnum.
