I felt very guilty trying to photograph them because they instinctively wanted to approach me. We kept fussing at them to sit still, and when Sylvia talked, they looked up at her (their master). I have one shot of them both totally bummed out. I'll try to find it. But both are working dogs, and without a salary. Emma and Heidi are therapy dogs, which took about 2 years of training. They are taken to hospitals and old folks homes to cheer up the patients. Their training? Not to bark, bite, jump, lick (Emma is not too good on that one) or otherwise intimidate or surprise the patient. They look more patient here than they were...they wanted to get in my lap (like they were trained to do).
