The really high point of his - Vincent D'Onofrio - career was his 1993
performance in an episode of Homicide: Life on the Street - Season 6,
Episode 7 - called Subway. The hour was done in "real time," long before 24,
and the premise was that a guy- D'Onofrio - fell and was trapped between a
subway train and the platform. Obviously, the train had to be moved - but
the only thing keeping him alive was the compression of the train. So he was
going to die when the train was moved, and the episode focused on him and a
couple of cops trying to find his girl friend to bring him to see him - and
on one cop, Andre Braugher, talking with him for the hour. It was a truly
staggering hour of drama.
