Subject: [Leica] memory cards

friends,

i have decided to make the leap into the 21st century and purchase my
first digital camera. i've ordered half a dozen M8s.

haha

i've ordered a panasonic DCM-LX2. it's an advanced point-and-shoot
with full manual controls and a unique 16:9 aspect ratio.

anyhow, what i'm wondering is if there's some sort of rule of thumb
about what size memory cards to use. i understand the
all-your-eggs-in-one-basket argument for perhaps using a smaller one,
but i'm not sure what folks think is a reasonable size. i think it
ships with a 32MB card, which should hold maybe 2 raw files! i also
ordered a 2GB card, mainly because amazon had a whopper special on
them, but i'm thinking that might be too large a basket.

any pointers?
