A 501CM is a much newer camera.
The 500C and 500C/M is a classic - still have mine (C/M) bought new in 
74, to give you an idea of age. Is the C lens chrome or black? C backs 
were made till about 1970. Might be as much as how piece as a user - 
might not want to put any wear on it if it is perfect. Like a like new 
M3 it might hold its value long term for collectors.
