I use ACDSee to review the RAW files copied from the flash card and decide which ones to trash and which ones to work with in Photoshop (CS, not CS2 in my case). I find the File Browser in PS useless for this purpose. ACDSee is much faster and much more convenient for this purpose, and it has never crashed on me or otherwise given me trouble. On the Mac I use Photo Mechanic for a similar purpose, and it is actually even faster and better than ACDSee. I am pretty sure that it is available for Windows as well, so those who are having trouble with ACDSee may want to take a look at it instead (www.camerabits.com).
