Luis, I don't believe there is any difference in the Red Scale and the
Black
Scale IIIF...Both have numbers on synchonizing the flash...The Black Scale
IIIF generally does not have a self timer. The Red Scale usually has a
Self
Timer, but not always...The Red Scale is regarded by collectors as somehow
more valuable and, therefore, dealers ask more money for a Red Scale
IIIF...Si
quieres una explicacion mas esplecipita, te la puedo dar...Son iguales en
uso,
pero la Roja vale {or cuesta} mas...Regards, bob cole

Hi all,

I've purchased one year ago a IIIF, I never used the flash on it, but I ask
me what is and how to use the Red Scale under Speeds. I've looked at
http://yandr.50megs.com/leica/3f/page10.htm, and I can't understand what it
does this scale.

Can somebody explain it in a few words?

Thanks in advance
Luis
