Kyle,
Be like Wal-Mart and only hire them for a specific assignment and don't use
them again or you will be caught in the Nanny tax situration with regards to
Social Security.  Brian is correct that the employee needs to sign a
document that they are a contract employee hired for a specific purpose and
a very limited time frame.  No offer of employment or expectation of
employment is part of this assignment.  They agree that you do not control
their hours, schedule, or how they go about performing the assignment.
Basically, if you use one of the contracts for photographers you will be
fine.
