Even what looked like legitimate freekicks were not given. When a Portuguese player went down, the referee's assumption was that he dived. So in the end justice was (kind of) done, although France played poorly as well. Objectively, neither team deserved to be in the World Cup final based on this game, but I am pleased that France won.
