Now, part of the problem might be MY monitor (which is about 3 years old). But the bright whites are somewhere in Zone IX, and the detail seems to be getting lost on the screen. I'm going to blow up one print to 16x20 this afternoon and give it a perusal. When I finish scanning the FP4+ in 777, I'll give an update on the results on my blog. Today is a busy one. Our church is deciding whether it wants to rebuild elsewhere in the city, try to renovate the current building (we are near the corner of Robert E. Lee and Canal Blvd., and the water was about 10 feet deep there for two weeks), or flatten the existing church and rebuild on the same site. Property values in Lakeview (where the church stands) are half of what they were pre-Katrina. And we could never sell the property...there are going to be tens of thousands of "For Sale" properties in the 80% of the city that was flooded. And the parts of the city that didn't flood (even the blighted housing) are going for a premium. Is the seperation in the highlights, midtones, or shadows better? Can you just see more fine detail? Or is it paper white adds a dimension that a screen can not display?
