Completely agree that the ZM's are a welcome addition to the market (and the ZF's for that matter) Love that Zeiss character. BTW, I note that Camera Quest have dropped the lot from their web site, due to being squeezed out by the new marketing arrangements. In Australia, the current distributor (who is also the Hasselblad distributor) don't even have a single word on them on their web site. Interesting marketing strategy for an (admittedly niche)quality product. We do have one retailer who champions the film products, stocking the CV range as well. Only lists the f2 50 and the 35 in the ZI range though. For those who haven't used it, the new 50/2 from Zeiss-Ikon is a great lens as well. These new releases from Zeiss-Ikon/Cosina are great news for all of us who use M-mount cameras. I have always loved the character of Zeiss lenses, and to be able to use them on Leica cameras is as good as it gets. Hi Dan, I posted the original link. I wouldn't attempt to post some sort of hoax. That would make me look pretty silly as a newer member of the LUG, wouldn't it? I'm guessing from Don's response that you have seen the pdf by now? I think the issue was that I linked to what was a banner on the top of the page. Sorry if that was sloppy. Like some other respondents, I think this is a very positive move by CZ. Seems no question that it will have different characteristics to say, a current Summicron. Quite different MTF graphs shown. I don't think that's a bad thing. Nice to have another choice. Wasn't there some discussion earlier regarding someone cornering the market on 50's? Another type for them now! Cheers Hoppy
