That's mostly a function of the Leica lenses.  For working photogs  
the question is whether that "look" is worth typically three times  
the price for an equivalent autofocus lens.  Otherwise, you're  
right.  Current DSLR output does look different from what you get  
from a Leica M.  It's called "better."
