Subject: [Leica] Pretentious?

True on all counts - but Jordan was still pretty much unknown in the UK 
except by the odd basketball fan except as a product of Nike's hype. I 
wasn't attempting to compare current fame, but peak fame. 
 
However, as I've not checked any of the links beyond the original one, I 
still have absolutely no idea who Gibson is.

Beckham and Ronaldinho were still in their baby pants when the Jordan  
era was at its top.
He was equally marketed by Nike in Europe when he was a star.
To compare Gibson to Jordan is grossly overstated IMO.
