Subject: [Leica] Back in the saddle with Leicas, sort of

I think there's a LTM Nikkor 50/1.4 on *.b*y this week. He dropped the "Buy
it Now" price after it didn't sell last week.

Ah, another fan of the venerable 50mm lens.

But I only have 3 (for M system)!!! CV 50/1.5 and 50/2.5 and Leica current
50/2.

Definitely NOT ENOUGH :-)

On the current 50mm lust list are:

Current Leica 50/2.8 (I want a Tessar for my M and to
         replace the small CV 50/2.5)
LTM Nikkor 50/1.4
ZM 50/2
Leica Rigid 50/2 (for "that look" after which I think Jeffery too is
        seeking)

I don't even dare lust after the 50/1.4 A$PH. But you can see
I haven't graduated yet to the more obscure 50's, even on my lust list :-)

But at the end of the day, IMHO the CV Nokton 50 and current Leica 50/2 are
both pretty nice lenses, more than suitable for most purposes.

And in large part, it's something about my Nikkor 45/2.8 AI-P that keeps me
coming back to the FM3a (ok, and the 105/2.5 too).
