When I heard that my friend, Bert Stitt was facilitating this event I determined that this was important work that required documentation. I told him that I would do it at my own expense and he was touched enough to come up with a fraction of the cost of travel expenses, 36 hours of driving a 93 Saturn, hotel and food. This project is a labor of love without attempting to make any sort of "statement" other than document the area as I found it on the 17th, and the conference on the 18th of March. No one coached me. I arrived. I photographed. Period.
