>> Great face. Reminds me of that shot by DDD...<<<<

He was listening to some young soldier and I shot it with the 90mm Summicron
2.0 on an M camera.

>>NUN
>> Just beautiful. How did you meter for this Ted?<<<

In the convent where I was shooting, bells rang every few minutes and the
nun's wherever they were, knelt down to say a prayer. This novitiate did her
thing in a chapel and when I saw the light illuminating her I had just
enough time to stick a hand held meter into the same high-light, not right
where she was but the same light condition, set the camera and went "click!"
One frame before she stood up and moved on! ;-)

>>Ice Dunes on North Atlantic..Water under forming ice KR 64 <<<

That's shot on Kodachrome 64 underexposed about 3 stops because I pointed
the camera at the high-lighted area of the scene because the clouds were
moving and our ship was going in a different direction, so in reality it's a
grab shot and good luck more than good technique!

It's picture situations like this when I'm trying to explain to LUG people
that going through all the technical stuff of where to point the meter,
thinking about the zones etc., that if I were one of those type of
photographer's this would've been a lost moment as the overcast closed over
and we were back to snow squalls.

> Looks other worldly. Really nice.<<<<
> You're a lucky man, Ted to have had the opportunity to shoot and
> experience > so many interesting things.<<<<

Thank you as it's been a life like no other. :-) And I wouldn't trade it for
anything. :-)
