[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]thanks for the tip, ken. i just got back with 18 rolls of kodak
400UC for $3.98/roll. it's $4.89 and B&H and $6.39 at my local
photo shop.
the didn't have any of the chromogenic BW stuff. i was actually
hoping for some. i bought a bulk pack of ilford XP2 several months
ago for several reasons: it was significantly cheaper than the kodak
version, and i was kind of hoping to "support" ilford in hopes they
might survive the on-going film die-out, but i'm just really not
happy with the results i'm getting with the XP2 in my scanner. if i
scan in RGB mode the images are PINK--bright pink--and in grayscale
they are really flat. the kodak stuff was always much closer to what
i wanted in the original scan, so i plan on switching back.
