Jim,

I have a photograph (no print) of my Father's Father taken in Edmonton in 
1919. It is a picture of him, a friend and their sled dog team! I don't know 
what the hell they had a sled dog team for and it predates the birth of my 
Dad in 1923. I suspect that they may have been late comers to the Klondike 
gold rush!

I do know my father's family always had cats for pets growing up. No dogs. 
Makes me wonder if dealing with a team of huskies influenced their thinking.
