That sounds like a good plan.  I don't think there is anything special 
about HC110.  You can probably get good results with any developer.  You 
can probably assume this is a 100 ei film so if you go with the times 
that are right for Verichrome pan or Fp4 you probably won't be far off. 
  The negs should still be scanable even if the development is not 
perfect.  After the first roll you can adjust for the others.
