I have some 40-year old color negatives that still scan just fine -
and far older (maybe 55 years) Kodachrome slides. The few 50+ year
old Kodacolor negatives I have I must admit are in pretty poor shape,
though. So let's say archival in this case is 40 years. It'll be
interesting to see if our current digital media is still readable 40
years from now.
