[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I think that everyone would agree that the following Leica lenses are currently best in class in 35mm. 24mm Elmarit ASPH although the new offering from Zeiss offers better value 28 Summicron 35 Summilux ASPH 50 Summilux ASPH 75 Summicron 90 APO Summicron 100 Macro R although the Canon offering is very close and much less expensive 135 APO Telyt 180 Summicron R 280 Elmarit current version again the current Canon 300 2.8 might be better 70-180 APO Elmarit R If Leica can come up with extreme wides that are as good as the above in a small package then the future of the dM will be very bright. I believe that a small(ish) very high quality digital camera will sell in enough volume that Leica can survive as a niche player.
