The OLD version w/out built in filters, a huge front element and lots of distortion, or the new design, with built in filters, fantastic low distortion and low flare, approx 70mm front diameter, 3-cam? The latter with R-cam or ROM? I have the latter with 3-cam. It will mount on a Leicaflex SL2 but not an SL. I don't have a Canon digital body, but I did take it to the store with and R--EOS adapter, and it fit fine on a Digi Rebel or 20D. Also fits on an EOS iX. What I am getting at is do you have to use the OLD 19mm to work on the EOS 5D? Or, is it just the ROM version that gets into trouble?
