Subject: [Leica] Firsts trials posted on colour

Hi Don,

Thank you very much for your advice, I thought so too, but as you know it
was some positive comments for the previous 5400 it was a light source on
the style of diffuse light. Concerning Nikon I've read on LFI that LS5000
vs. LS4000 the only difference is speed, and this one is more or less priced
as the 5400 II.

I know now which will be my next present

Saludos cordiales desde Barcelona
Luis

Luis,
Unless you just want to spend extra money, the Minolta 5400 version II is
the way to go. The first version has an iffy film carrier and all the bugs
were not worked out. This is not to say that the Nikon is not one wonderful
scanner but it is a lot more expensive. So, unless you have a need to do
some bulk scanning I would recommend not getting the Nikon.
