Someone already mentioned the Vivtar 285, but I'll 2nd the motion.

It has a very nice off camera flash cord, where you can remove the
auto sensor from the flash and place it on the cord where the cord
mounts the camera's hot shoe.  Thus you can move the flash head
around for bounce/positioning/etc., and still get the auto metering
from the camera/lens's perspective.  Works rather well.
