Howdy crew,
Yeah I figured of all people I'd raise an eye brow when I asked what
equipment to take on a trip. ;-)

I just wanted to say this is the first time I've ever gone on an assignment
+ holiday without a film using Leica! It's all digital, Digilux 2 and
Leicanon 20D, 10-22 Canon lens and 80-200 f4.0 Leica lens.

Am I apprehensive? Yeah kind of, but the proof of the excerise will be in
the coverage and success of the end products. Only time and the delete
button will know! :-)

On Tuesday 20 September Ken Lassiter whom you know on line and of Florida
and our wives, Carol Lassiter and Irene Grant will be enjoying the weather
and hospitality of Portugal for 10 days. :-)

On the Sept. 30th Irene and I arrive in London for 12 days of visiting the
UK. Friends and family.

Thought I might call on the Queen to see if she'd be interested in tea and
few snaps on the Saturday afternoon. A jolly sort of get together you know,
unfortunately the last time I took her picture, ready? "with no film in the
camera!" Now there's a confession of notoriety. She said," I never want to
see him again." Hey, well OK the "no film in camera is true!" :-) And when I
asked her Equerry could she wait a moment as I loaded all he said was...
"PITY!" And they left! :-(

What the hell it happens in the best of families, like how many of you guys
are accidents? ;-)

If you have to ask.. never mind! :-)

Anyway, back to Lisbon, if any crew members are in and about the city from
the 20th till 23 please give Ken or myself a call, we're staying at the
Hotel Metropole from the 20th to Saturday morning 24th when we leave for the
comforts of a fine villa in the Algarve region to the south.

Irene and I arrive in London, Friday 30th for 3 days staying with friends
and Saturday afternoon has been allotted as "LUG TIME" ;-) while the women
folk do the "shopping mall thing." So if anyone has time for a beer and chat
Leica/photography during the afternoon, please give me a phone call either
Friday evening or early Saturday morning at... 4402089776433. As we plan to
go into London for the afternoon. So maybe a pub get to-gether is possible
if anyone is so inclined. :-)

Or if you think so before Monday morning 19th, that's like this coming
Monday, ;-) e-me.

So we'll be off line for 3 weeks at least after Monday 19th.
