I beleive you must trim the leader for a longer reduced width, Otherwise it 
will not line up in the film rails correctly and get jammed.  I had this 
problem with my Russian Zorki which is a copy of the Leica model II, I 
think.  Once 
I started doing this it has loaded perfectly.  There are depicktions of this 
in several of the Leica books.
