It is an affection for two lensed cameras from Germany, mostly Rolleicords.

Optical performance is improved by a significant factor since the
optics are top-notch and the negative is several times larger thus
requiring less magnification for any given dimensions of a print.

Cannot be cured but can be held in check for around 100 - 150 USD.
