As a native Texan, I often visited La. and always felt I was entering a
foreign (third world) country every time I crossed the Sabine River.
Honestly, the state has always been a "disaster" economically, politically,
racially, socially speaking. Maybe it's time to sell it back to
France--cheap.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the human suffering is extensive and
appalling. However, it could have been prevented IMHO.

I sure hope Jeff your still around, since this is exactly what has happened.

Our Prayers and Hopes to hear from you soon.
