I put it between the front seats like I normally do. When my wife got out of the minivan, her whatever caught the camera strap and off it went :-( The funky lens cap was shattered and the lens was slightly dented in the front. The M7 seemed OK. Since the camera was under the warranty (the lens was brought used) so I just sent the whole thing to Leica NJ. I forgot how much the lens cost to fix/adjust, but it was may be around ~$100. I think Rei's comment at that time when I posted the sad story was something like make sure she doesn't act like a bull in China shop again or something like that. Truth be told, whenever something of value is damaged, my wife is always more upset than I am. To me, things are still just things, whether they are $50 or $3000.
