one of my "reasons" for selling off my canon 35mm gear and getting  
into leica was the idea that i could eliminate much of the equipment- 
acquisitive nature of photography.  i bought an M6 and a 50mm  
summicron, telling myself that that was all i needed.  then i  
convinced myself that i needed a CV 28mm and eventually a CV 90mm.   
then that i needed an Xpan and two lenses.

if the prices were in yen, i would indeed have been nickel and dimed  
to death, but they're in dollars.
