You really need to get a clue about JPEG image compression. 340 kb for an online snap is @ 4x larger than it needs to be. Hint - Photoshop, save for web, use the % quality slider, and be amazed at how you can get a similar quality image for @ 80 kb. Secondly, touch up the dust spots and lighten the shadow on the side of the person's face. Burn & dodge, remember?... Thirdly, composition? You put the face right in the exact centre of the frame. Come on, fumbling AF newbies do that sort of thing. Next - what's the story about using grainy B&W? Defiantly stuck in 1973?... Finally - who is "B.D." and why do you want to be like him? Isn't he the bloke who insists on posting five times every LUG digest?... :?) (Some of this post is serious, some tongue-in-cheek. I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to figure out which is which.) Regds, Andrew N. <http://leica.nemeng.com>
