When you read you begin with
A-B-C

When you click your camera you begin with Roman Numeral Vee
Roman Numeral Vee
Roman Numeral Vee
The first Zone in photography happens to be Vee
Roman Numeral V (vee)
Roman Numeral V

Roman Numeral  0, I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X.....?!?

(Oh, let's see if I can make it easier)

Zero is black, film negative only black
one is black that?s in the Print
two is dark, it?s just real dark
three is dark which has some texture in-it!
four is even lighter still.
five is middle gray we love!
Six is lighter still than that!
but we still have four more to go ho ho ho!

Zone Seven is last sight of texture in the light tones, we love those light
tones..
Eight and we now just have tone with no texture to speak of or count on.
(just say it real fast)
Nine is white, the whitest white the paper can produce.
And zone Ten is a "white" existing only in the film ne ga tive.
