I was pretty sure someone on the list had used it and liked it.

But B.D.'s right about 1.4. If you need it, there's not much of an 
alternative.

Personally I'd be a little concerned about rangefinder accuracy with a 
1.4 wide-open on a CL or CLE. The have a fair margin of error that a 1.4 
might not tolerate.
