Mark,

I am trying to get one used. You may find the following comparative 
review interesting (Nokton 40mm MC, Nokton 40mm SC, Summicron 40mm, 
Rokkor 40mm). Sorry, the text is in Japanese, and the tests are done on 
Epson R-D1.

Conclusions: All the four lenses perform very well. The differences 
between Nokton MC and SC as well as between Summicron and Rokkor are 
very subtle. Nokton gives better image quality than Summicron/Rokkor at 
the same apertures. It is noteworthy that the out of focus rendition is 
very smooth with Nokton.
