Jesse,

R-D1 is not enjoying favourable attention here on LUG. ;-) On the list 
Christopher referred to, there are some dedicated R-D1 users. Their 
comments are worth listening to.

No tips actually. You are free from hassles unless yours has any initial 
flaws, which in my impression are reported here more frequently than I 
hear from users in Japan. My only suggestion would be that you take as 
many pics as possible to make up for what you invested.
