The BBC Radio Show came first. The books followed, being published in the decade or so after the conclusion of the BBC radio show. I am sorry to have to be the one to tell you, but Douglas Adams died almost four years ago, in May, 2001. He might well have drafted a first version of a proposal for the movie's script, but, given the Hollywood way of doing business, I am certain that rewrites were going on while they were filining this turkey. His impact on this monstrosity seems minimal, at best. Marc msmall@aya.yale.edu Cha robh b?s fir gun ghr?s fir! NEW FAX NUMBER: +540-343-8505
