The Digilux was priced about $900 higher than it should have been for what it was, and you know the digital M will be as well. Because given that it is digital, and standards change, buying a digital M will not be making a life-time investment, the way buying a film M is. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bdcolen=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Christopher Williams Sent: Friday, April 29, 2005 3:31 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Re: Film/digital wars If Zeiss is doing one, are talking Zeiss Ikon? That would be just like an Epson/CV to me. Zeiss would be high priced for that Zeiss name. Digital prices are dropping every 6 months. The problem with the cost of the digital M is the damn Euro! By the time it comes out, the US dollar will be even more worthless. That's not Leica's fault, it's the US's fault.
