I mentioned on the list back in January when he was appointed that I found his formal training/skill mix at odds with what Leica was trying to do. In the oil business you appoint a geologist if you want your company to grow, an engineer if you want to increase production from developed lands (i.e. milk the cow) and a lawyer or accountant if you wish to attract investors or sell the company outright.
