The machines in Hong Kong should be film safe, no problem.  I believe 
most officers in the immigration will allow a hand check.

I do not have the exact price for Tri-X, should be somewhere around 
HK$30-40 (about US$4-5).  You may have problem finding them in the 
usual 1-hour photo shops, try Wing Shing or Man Shing in Mong Kok area, 
Kowloon Photo Service in Jordan Area or other professional photo shops 
in other areas.
