Subject: [Leica] OT: Contax ceased production of 35mm cameras, digital to follow

Thanks. What gives with AF? It's all over the industry now.
I like RF focusing, but the larger market has spoken.

Is it impossible to design or license a credible AF technology
without much ado? Nikon integrated AF while maintaining
mount backward compatibility. So why not Leica (and Oly
too, right?) when it mattered.

Is there some curse that if you win at the MTF chart race
and package your lenses in nicely made barrels that you
automatically suck at modern body technology? Sheesh.

Trippy industry.
